China Education Resources Provides Update on Success of its Comprehensive Education Services Portal (ESP)

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (April 23, 2008) - China Education Resources Inc. ("CER," the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:CHN) (OTCQX:CHNUF) - today announced that requests for its proprietary Education Services Portal (ESP) have been so strong that the company is hiring additional staff to keep up with demand. The Company is adding technical and sales support staff to help process and fulfill the requests coming in from across the country.

CER Chairman and CEO, Mr. Chengfeng Zhou commented, "We are building our staff to handle the tremendous reception we are receiving from so many schools applying for immediate ESP implementation. Frankly, we have been overwhelmed by the requests of more than 500 schools because we merely offered our beta version of ESP without external advertising. This amazing response is due to the effectiveness of our CERSP portal and our excellent reputation working with the Chinese government, master teachers, and other education professionals. Accordingly, I have hired additional personnel and directed my staff to begin testing our commercialization strategy. Once we have completed the testing and also moved from the beta version of ESP to the release version, we plan to initiate our commercialization plan." On April 14th, CER announced it anticipated that its commercialization strategy beta-testing would be completed by the end of June.

About the ESP Market

The average Chinese K-12 school is much larger than its American counterpart. The average Chinese school includes approximately 1,000 students, teachers, administrators and parents. Every teacher, administrator, student, counselor, tutor, and parent is a potential user of ESP and CER plans to gain revenues from every component of ESP.

CER's goal is to build the most robust, agile and flexible portal in the world; capable of handling online teaching, learning, and administrative requirements for approximately 600,000 schools, 12 million teachers and 230 million students.

About ESP

School administrators, teachers, students and parents want to use ESP because it allows users to upload and download education resources according to specific learning objectives. It enables teachers to communicate and work collaboratively with each other by providing them with the ability to share and exchange lesson plans, support materials, experiences, and even entire course modules. Students can use the Student Activity Center ("the Center"), to collaborate, work jointly on school projects, share learning experiences and even play educational games.

The ESP Testing and Assessment Center (TAC), enables schools to create and administer tests and assessments that align with learning objectives and automatically reports raw data results and various analyses that can be used to identify areas in which the student may need extra help and recommend learning strategies. School administrators are also excited about TAC's ability to provide a repository for education E-portfolios, which are complete records of each student's learning and achievements.

The Student Activity Center provides an informal environment where students can gather online to visit with each other, find relaxing, education-related activities, and to play learning games using points they earn from their educational achievements. The Center also features a customized, unique education resource search function.

About the CERSP -- ESP Relationship

ESP is a natural extension of the CER education portal, CERSP, and helps to organize the incredible wealth of teaching, learning, and administrative resources available through CERSP at the individual school level.

CERSP is the equivalent of a mega-portal. It is designed to be accessible to everyone associated with K-12 education across China and is loaded with very robust features and resources that enable the development, delivery, and support of resources and activities related to the national K-12 education reform initiative. CERSP is a primary venue for teacher training in schools, districts, cities, and provinces; it can be used by anyone. It is also the aggregator for subject matter experts in all K-12 subject areas and a place where they can gather virtually to improve upon the work they have done in response to national mandates.

ESP, on the other hand, is a commercial service for the K-12 education marketplace that extends the reach and relevance of the CERSP portal at the school and individual level. Its primary function is to support the administrative, teaching, learning, testing, and assessment needs of an individual school, and it does so in a way that is standardized, allowing for combined results to the district, city, province, or national level. CERSP may be thought of as an incredibly large "back-end" resource that greatly enriches each instance of ESP. ESP may be thought of as a way to monetize the momentum of CERSP by creating a direct, revenue producing relationship with every school, administrator, teacher, parent and student that subscribes.
