China Education Resources Reaches Exclusive Agreement with Gansu Province

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(January 15, 2010) - China Education Resources Inc. ("China Education", "CER", "the Company") (TSX VENTURE:CHN) (PINK SHEETS:CHNUF) - today announced that it reached an agreement with the GANSU Provincial Institute of Education and Research ("IER"), a division of the GANSU Provincial Education Commission. IER has the primary responsibility of improving and upgrading the quality of teaching in GANSU Province in the K to 12 area.

The agreement stipulates that one of CER's Chinese subsidiaries, Today's Teachers Technology & Culture Ltd. (TTTC) will be the exclusive online provider to IER of teaching and research programs. Both parties agree to establish a long term strategic partnership for the digitization and commercialization of educational resources and will work together to develop online tutoring for both teachers and students, expanded digitization of curriculum and online teaching programs.

As a first step in the expanded relationship with IER under this agreement and following the teacher training program conducted by TTTC in GANSU Province last summer (please see news release of June 24, 2009), TTTC will provide a multiyear series of online training programs for the approximately 220,000 K to 9 teachers in GANSU. TTTC will charge 180 RMB ($26) per teacher for the next program in the series which is scheduled to commence March 1, 2010. TTTC will be working with IER to schedule additional programs later in 2010.

C.F. Zhou, Chairman and CEO, said "I am very pleased to report that our work in GANSU, especially in the teacher training area, has started to pay dividends. This has resulted in our signing of this very important agreement with the Province which gives us the exclusive right to provide key online services and resources to the teachers of GANSU. As more teachers become familiar with our company, it will become easier to introduce our many leading edge educational products to the entire Provincial educational system -- teachers, administrators, students and parents, further strengthening our position as a leader in the fast growing K to 12 online education market."

In collaboration with China's various education authorities and experts, China Education Resources Inc. ("CER") is helping to transform the curriculum of the world's largest educational system. Recognizing the need for centralization and increased accessibility to address the Chinese Central government's 2000 education reform policy changes, CER has created educational tools and curricula for China's entire kindergarten through twelfth grade system. By implementing the government's goal of converting the existing educational system from memory-based learning to creative thinking and utilizing a more interactive approach to embrace a world-based economy, CER has played an integral part in positioning China's educational system to reach new heights.
