The mission of the academy is to study the issues and challenges that lie ahead for the kindergarten through grade 12 curricula in China and then integrate the research and recommendations into the China Education Resources' education portal.

In fact, starting this year each teacher must take a qualification exam every five years in order to continue as an education professional. This will be a big challenge as we undertake the chore of training over 12 million teachers on a regular basis," said Gu Mingyuan, president of the Chinese Society of Education (CSE), the largest academic organization in China with over 850,000 educators and distinguished teachers as members. The academy's Chief Advisor Tao Xiping is also president of Chinese Association for Non-government Education, vice president of the CSE and honorary president of Asian Pacific Federation of UNESCO Clubs and Association. Cao Zhixiang is executive vice director of CDC, Ministry of Education; Gu Mingyuan is president of CSE, professor & former vice president, Beijing Normal University; Guo Zhenyou is vice national chief inspector, executive vice president of CSE; Guo Yongfu is vice president of CSE & former deputy director of Basic Education, Ministry of Education; Zhuo Qingjun is the deputy director of Academic Committee of CSE & former director of Central Education Science Institute, Ministry of Education; and Zheng Zengyi is national inspector & former deputy director of Basic Education, Ministry of Education.
